Ultimate Dance Party Volume 1Reviewsstill in cellophane wrap!! I love that it is still new and have not even listened to it yet (I still borrow my friend's copy!) This cd makes me remeber the final year of ym high school, since they played this cd at my senior prom. And that was best year of my life, excluding the year i been with my gf. But this cd has music that will make your car shake and boom. Plus has many good solid beats to dance to if your throwing a party. I liked this but the sounds are a bit old now... I like the more energetic stuff coming from Europe currently -- for example EURO CLUB HITS VOL. 1 which is on iTunes and Rhapsody and etc. This CD is awesome! I love it! It makes you want to dance all night! This awesome CD reminds me of my senior year of high school at the American School of the Hague in the Netherlands. Weekends were spent dancing my butt off to these awesome songs, I miss eurotechno, and eurodance! To anyone who loves to dance this is a must, not to mention this CD will have you moving at the gym! Ultimate 16: Ultimate 60's Garage Band RockReviewsDwight Twilley Band as a sixties garage band? Think again-- I'm on Fire debuted in 1975. i bought this on sale at estba uyba gambling TALK TALK would be in stereo.it was! quick breakdown: mono/ 1,2,7,8,13,16. stereo/3,4,5,6,9,10,11,12,14,15. trk 6: PSYCHOTIC REACTION is the FAKE STEREO version that's been around for decades. I LOVE YOU by PEOPLE is mono but is panned mostly to the left channel, should be centered. SURFIN' BIRD reminds me so much of the RAMONES.i'm glad to have it in collection now. ARE YOU A BOY OR ARE YOU A GIRL is excellent quality. the only other cd i have of the song was mastered from noisy vinyl. all together ain't bad! Unlike most of "various artist" 60's collections which all seem to feature the same selection of songs, "The Ultimate 60's Garage Band Rock" CD has a lot of tracks that are hard to find anywhere else. And many of these otherwise lost songs are actually quite good. Unless you are a compulsive classic rock radio station listener, many of the selections are songs you will not have heard for 30 years. "Louie Louie" is easy to find on other CD's. Of the many hard to find tracks: several are dogs ("Are You a Boy Or Are You a Girl", "I Love You", and "I'm on Fire") best forgotten; several are nothing special but have a degree of nostalgia value ("Dirty Water", "Little Girl", "Time Won't Let Me", "Baby Let's Wait"); most are genuine classics ("Nobody But Me", Psychotic Reaction", "California Sun", "Little Bit O'Soul", "I Live for the Sun", "Talk Talk", "Susie Baby"); and one is immortal "Surfin' Bird". Then again, what do I know? I'm only a child. Average Rating:![]() |

Ultimate Trance Party, Vol. 2ReviewsI, too, was pleasantly surprise with this set. 7 discs for this price?! The highlight for me was the way DJ Corbett managed to string things together. I was pleasantly surprised with 4 out of 6 cd's in this collection. Commander TOM listed as disc 5 is from beginning to end mixed very well. He captures trance and mixed every title to create a journey that keeps me sane while dealing with DC traffic. The other disc's mixed by DJ X-Dream, Gonzo and DJ Corbett all have that one track that you can listen over and over again (DJ Gilbert- "Pulling the Trigger", JB- "Unknown Origin", and Hunter- "Code 303". The cd by Mark Lewis literally put me to sleep. Every track on this cd was same beat, too mellow for me. The last disc by Pleasurehead was awkward and felt like the DJ just went through the motions, no inspiration. But overall, because of the price it was well worth money spent. Average Rating:![]() |

Ultimate Garages IIReviewsThis book is good in showing how the car crazy enjoy their hobbie. Has great articles on the garages presented in the book, and also a good spread of photos for all to see. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to see how the other half live with their car collections. It is a good buy and one that I would recommend to the car enthusiast. I enjoyed the first book "Ultimate Garage" and was thinking to my self how nice it would be to see more, I got my wish, this sequel is every bit as good as the first book, the photography is beautiful, generous in size and quantity. It's nice to see what others have done especially when you consider all of the variables that are involved, the site, the collection to be displayed, the style of the collector, the commitment (money spent) and then enjoy the details of the end result. Many of us are collectors of things, not necessarily cars and we love to display them, the way these folks put their collections together gives you a lot of encouragement about your own collections and how we can display them. It's wonderful to see a project comleted in a beautiful way, these are magnificent car collections and I thank Phil Berg for taking the time to assemble this latest book and for the collectors who have opened their garage doors for us to enjoy. I hope he can find material for a third volume because I will buy it. Great continuation series from Phil Berg. I enjoyed reading the first one and I couldn't wait to get his new one. More great stories about car crazy people and their garages. For a car enthusiast, this book is a jaw-dropping, salivation-inducing look into the lifestyles of the rich and car-obsessed. It's what most of us would do if we had the money, but instead can only afford a book showing what others have been able to do with their blessings. Basically a bunch of private car museums not open to the public, which I would go see personally if I could. Instead I have this book, which I love. If you liked the first Ultimate Garages, then you'll probably like this book fine. There are a few differences. The book is about an inch taller and wider. Amazon is wrong, the the new book is 192 pages, not 224 (the old book is 224). Old book has 24 garages, new 23. The old book is divided into 3 categories: garage as palace, real-world garages and nontraditional garages. The new book is not categorized, but most of the profiled places would probably be considered palaces, with just a few real world types. I haven't counted pictures, but I think the old book has more pictures. It had hardly any pages without at least one pic. The new book seems more focused on fewer, but larger pictures. There are many pages without any pics, with a lot of blank border space that could easily have been arranged to throw in more smaller shots. I found myself wanting some extra views on some garages, like an outside shot or an area that was talked about in the text but not shown. For me, you really can't have too many pictures. So much to see! I do like the stat boxes in the new book showing price to build, square feet, # of cars, etc. I was surprised there was no author's preface explaining the book or the differences with the sequel. So, while I may have liked the execution of the first book a little better, I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes fancy garages. And if you like classic cars but never thought about if you like fancy garages, I guarantee that you'll like these garages and if you're like me, it will start you thinking about what you could do with your own garage and relatively tiny budget. I purchased Ultimate Garages for my Dad and he loved it. Now I have given him Ultimate Garages II! He became a hermit as soon as he opened it Christmas morning. We try to save his books for last because we won't see him after he opens them. Other than to start telling us about one thing and then another from the books!Another great buy!
