Chamberlain KLIK1U Clicker Transmitter Universal Garage Door Remote ControlReviewsthis remote works great it does everything that was described on the internet programming was so easy quick shipment too !!!! Thank You..AMAZON I have a LiftMaster Garage Door Opener that was installed in our barn in 1993. Needless to say, over the years the remotes that came with the door stopped working unless you got on a ladder and held it right next to the unit. I called LiftMaster and answered lots of questions, i.e., do you live near an army base? NO Is there a motor running in the building causing interference, etc. NO. They recommended this Universal Remote. I ordered it figuring that if it worked great and if it didn't we'd have to look at the logic board. It came today and I didn't really find the instructions very clear so I went to Amazon to read other reviews. Great....we had the remote working in less than 2 minutes including the time it took to get to the barn and get a ladder out to reach the garage door opener. We have the unit that has a "Smart Code" green button. This is what you have to do: Stand under the garage door opener, take the cover off of the Clicker remote, then press the programming button inside the clicker universal remote until it lights up. Now either you or someone else get on the ladder and press the green programming button on the Lift-Master until the light on the garage door opener stays lit. You will hear a click in the remote in your hand.....then press the programming button in the remote one more time, click the outside large left button on the remote and it works! Others have reported that you need to be right under the remote or very close to get it to work. I tested it by walking from the barn to my house....remote continued to open/close door at least 100 feet away....it even works from inside the house. Of course, we have only used this remote today so things may change but I remain hopefully optimistic. Highly recommend..........great deal! I already knew how the product worked as I purchased one from a local hardware store for $20 more than the price I got it on Amazon.com. The clerk at the hardware store was pretty sure that it would work (this is after I went to a Sears store only to be told that I probably had to buy a whole new garage door opening system). I bought this universal garage door remote and within 5 minutes of opening the product, the remote was programmed to my garage door system. I needed a second one as both my original remotes were falling apart from being dropped. great replacement clicker for my older craftsman garage opener. Had a hard time programming, initially, so I thought my opener was defective. Well it was'nt after all. I had to go online and watch the clicker instruction video to learn that i was pressing incorrectly. You enter code then press and HOLD instead of pressing and releasing repeatedly. The item was shipped on time and securely. The item has worked as advertised. Since the purchase of this product, my garage door opener went bad. I purchased a new one and these remotes work just fine with it. Multi-person household so I need more than the remote that comes with the new opener. Average Rating:![]() |

Liftmaster 371LM 315MHz Garage Door Remote TransmitterReviewsPerfect remote for my Chamberlain garage door opener. Easy to program using the purple learn button. Simple one button remote is preferred over the original 3-button control that came with the unit. Seller shipped it quick! Fantastic product. Arrived in a great condition (actually was surprised to see the amount of packaging for such a small device) and worked like a charm from the word go. I recommend this product We needed extra remotes for a small office garage opener. These were great! Right what we were looking for. For the price, they are just the original brand thing. It's been 4 months now and not one has failed, they are used daily, sometimes several times a day. Nothing fancy, nothing cheap. Just what you see, one button to open one garage. This door opener met our expectations. Would recommend it to anyone needing a replacement. I needed an additional garage door opener as my old car had one built in and my new car doesn't. I didn't want all the hoopla of the original three button remote. This one was easy to get working and is the perfect solution (one button). Average Rating:![]() |

Chamberlain Liftmaster 971LM/950CB 390Mhz Garage Door RemoteReviewsProduct arrived before the expected date, was brand new and packaged carefully. This company is excellent. Does what is says. Delivery was quick once I placed the order, it took less time than estimated. All I have to say is it is scary how easy it is to program this remote to the garage door! But this is exactly what my family needed after my remote dropped into a cup of punch. If you are looking for simplicity and something that actually works, this is the product for you. We purchased this as a replacement opener. It is what it is and work just fine. We bought a house and only got 1 door opener. I ordered a second for my husband that so kindly let me have the 1 opener. It came in today, faster then expects and took 3 minutes to get it working. It was a fraction of the cost direct from the company or Home Depot! Thinking of getting a third as a back up! Average Rating:![]() |

Chamberlain Garage Door Universal Surge ProtectorReviewsI bought this so that I could plug my Chamberlain opener to it to protect it from surges. The device plugs directly into the outlet, and you plug the garage door opener into the device plus all the safety wires into it and then the wires back to the opener. I haven't had any surges yet, but knowing I have a surge protector gives me more piece of mind. I highly suggest picking one up. I lost both of my garage door openers (and a whole lot more) after a terrifc surge went thru my home. I will never be without surge protection again. Price is more than fair for the protection provided. PS; I have surge protectors all over the house now.....can't afford that loss/expense again. Average Rating:![]() |

Liftmaster Gear and Sprocket Assembly Kit Part Number 41C4220AReviewsI like to fix things myself but the instructions weren't very detailed. Parts were as exactly as ordered but the figures in the instructions could have shown more detail. There were names of different parts that were on the written instructions but I didn't know what all those detailed parts looked like. Figures should pointed to each part as well as location. I have a Crasftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener. Maybe this kits instructions weren't too specific because it is for different brand garage door openers? Overall it took around 2 hours to change. Should have taken less time if the instructions were more detailed. Door works now. Right smack in the middle of January, in Minnesota, my garage door opener quit working. It's had fits before, where it would reverse direction for no apparent reason, but this time, the motor would run and run and run, but the trolley never moved on the track. Upon further inspection, I realized the sprocket on top wasn't turning. My assumption was that the door opener was toast, and I started shopping for a new one. One of the places I shopped was Amazon, where I stumbled across this repair kit. The symptoms that others described in their reviews were exactly the same as mine, so I figured it was worth a shot. Paid for $3.99 next-day delivery, parts arrived, 2 hours later the door opener was repaired and working like new. It would have only taken an hour, I think, but I had to come inside a few times to warm up my hands, and I had to recalibrate the door opener after finishing the repair. Saved me some serious $$$, and wasn't a bad project at all. When my 1994 Sears garage door opener failed, I began to worry that I would have to install a whole new unit. After a little bit of research, I figured out that all I needed was this part kit for 30 bucks! Over time, the bearing just below the sprocket had worn down and finally broke, causing the sprocket shaft to shift at an angle instead of vertical. The chain then will not stay on the sprocket. Anyway, bought this kit and installed the new sprocket assembly without taking the opener down from its mounts. Since my worm gear was still good, I only had to do half the work and just replace the sprocket shaft. Took me about an hour with basic tools. Re-greased the whole thing (grease included) and put it back together. My garage door works like new and is much quieter than before. One important thing to note is that re-calibrations took longer than replacing the parts. You have to reset the travel up/down and force(kg). This takes several cycles to get perfect, but is not hard to do. I highly reccomend this kit versus replacing the whole opener. The kit contains all the parts needed to rebuild a garage door opener drive mechanism that normally wears out. The parts are high quality and an exact replacement for the original parts. This is an excellent and economic kit. Pretty much anything that wears in these garage door units besides the motor is supplied for replacement. My one gripe with it is that the directions could have been better, as the unit has to be stripped down quite a bit. If you're wondering how much, unplug the unit, take off the outer panels until you can see the gears and all the "snow" that everyone is talking about. The additional parts that get replaced with this item (vs. just buying the gear) are mostly on the motor, which has to be removed bracket and all. The center shaft with the broken gear has to come out through the top of the housing. On mine there was 6" of clearance between the top of the opener and the ceiling which allowed me to remove it. If you have less room than 6" it is possible the whole opener will have to come down. While the directions are adequate, they do require caution and studying in order make sense of what needs to be done. There are basically no re-installation instructions, so you have to reverse the disassembly directions. This kit repairs four different styles of door openers. The only difference is in the way the bearing assembly is held to the motor. Two of the styles are held together by retaining rings, while the other two use a collar/roll pin design. Under tools needed the instructions mention a 5/32 punch, but this is not needed for the retaining ring designs. I used a pair of snap-ring pliers to remove the retaining ring that was on my unit. It wasn't super stiff, so you could probably get away with regular pliers. Either way, the necessary tool is not mentioned in the instructions. On that same note, there is one press-fit bushing that is supplied that is never mentioned anywhere in the directions. This bushing goes in the motor mount plate and is the one that holds the bottom of the shaft that the offending gear rides on. I changed mine, but I also had a 20 ton hydraulic press at my disposal. Changing this item is not essential by any means, but I wouldn't attempt it without a proper press. I imagine that's why they left the part completely off the instructions. The door works like a champ now. It seems a lot quieter than it used to be. I don't know if it was just that much louder with the damaged gear or of all the supplied grease that I lathered on the parts made the difference. The job is not very difficult for someone used to repairing things, however I could do it again in less than half the time simply because the directions wouldn't have me scratching my head. Sears Craftsman Liftmaster Garage Door Opener Gear Kit - Part #41A2817ReviewsMy garage door motor would not work. I was told that I would need to buy a new opener. I went on line to find the same kind I just type in the name of the opener and it pull up the parts for my opener. This saved me alot of money. The repairman was really shoted that I had located this. I was very pleased with the cost and fast service. I bought the whole package ,I dont know why, all that was messed up was the big gear. So I just replaced that and everything works fine and it was at least twice as easy as replacing all those parts. Good product came in 2-3 days. No problems, would buy from you again. i saved over $100 from buying whole a new opener and installing that myself. We ordered the part we thought we needed, it came right away, price was terrific. My husband put the part on following directions and presto, garage door was fixed. THANK YOU! This was a very complete kit. I didn't use the hardware that came with it as I found it easier to use the original. I only replaced the worm gear and the sprocket gear. It took me two hours start to finish and that included two trips to the neighbors to borrow a punch and use a vise. The only issue I ran into was with the instructions. Page 2, section 5, line 2 says to run the opener until it completes a "clockwise" cycle. After following these instructions twice, I found I had to allow it to complete a "counter clockwise" cycle for it to work properly. Once I figured this out, it was smooth sailing. I don't know if this was a misprint, or because this kit is universal (I have a Craftsman). Overall, I recommend this product. I don't recall reading this in earlier reviews. If it's a repeat..my apologies. After your garage door opener repair you will likely have to tweak the 'open/close' travel settings in the opener. That's the limit switch assy you unclipped to remove the motor/sprocket shaft. Between loosening/removing/re-installing the drive chain AND the drive gear for the limit assy your door probably won't be exactly where it WAS when fully opened and closed. Before you operate the door, I suggest unlatching the trolley from the door, cycle the door opener a few times while making note of where the trolley ends up and making the required adjustments BEFORE the door is moved by the opener. Consider: Your door was adjusted to be closed to a very snug position. The opener repair results in a 'closed' position that is a couple inches TIGHTER than it was. If you immediately attach the door (latch the trolley to the door arm) without checking the 'closed' limit, when it DOES close you may well break something. Again. If you choose to replace the drive gear on the motor shaft, do exercise caution when removing the interrupter! It's plastic and held on with a spring clip that isn't easily UNsprung. Loosen the setscrew in the collar, using a chisel, tap between the collar and washer cup to move the interrupter off the shaft. You could also support the back of the motor (shaft clear to move) and with the collar setscrew loosened, use a punch/drift to tap the motor shaft out of the interrupter wheel (there is a hole in the interrupter to get to the motor shaft). No POUNDING required...just a tap or two. The parts work. You may not use all the parts included, and some parts you DO remove will need to be re-used. Not a five-minute job..but well worth your time. Average Rating:![]() |
